Cleveland Indians Contemplate Changing Their Name

The times they are a-changin’.

As the nation has been embroiled in what many believe to be a new Civil Rights Movement, teams are starting to reevaluate racist problematic history. Among the most glaring of questionable items in sports: the Cleveland Indians name. As the Washington Redskins face mounting pressure to change their name, the Indians organization released this statement to try to stay ahead of any lost revenue or protests of their name:

The team already ditched the old mascot, Chief Wahoo, for good back in 2018, changing their logo to a very plain red C. Will the Braves be next to change some of their problematic traditions, such as the tomahawk chop?
